Korean War Exhibition
Catawbans at the 38th Parallel
|
| The Catawba County Historical Association is currently seeking donations and loans from all veterans of the Korean War. We are currently researching and preparing an exhibit on the service and sacrifice of Catawba County Veteran’s, both men and women, during the war. This six monthr exhibit, featuring the stories and collections of Catawba Soldiers, is scheduled to open on August 21, 2008, at the Catawba County Museum of History (Reunion Day). If you are a native of Catawba County, a Catawba County native living outside of the County, or a current resident of Catawba County, we want to hear your story, and showcase your military objects. This exhibition is part of an ongoing exhibition of Catawba Soldiers covering all major U.S. Military conflicts since the Civil War. We began in 2006 with “Vietnam: The Things They Carried,” followed by “From the Field to the Front: The Catawba Soldier in WWI” in 2007. Please contact the Catawba County Museum of History at 828.435.0383 or email us at cchamuseum@bellsouth.net, if you have a donation, loan, or questions regarding this exhibit. |
